As you can see from the empty spaces in this table, the actual number of syllables in use is only about half of the number of possible combinations of initials and finals.

Clicking on one of the syllables will display the most common characters matching that syllable in the YellowBridge Dictionary.

The bottom and right axes show the corresponding zhuyin (Bopomofo) symbols for the pinyin initials and finals shown on the top and left axis, respectively. If you never had to learn the zhuyin phonetic symbols, you should imply ignore them.
