Our comprehensive tools for learning the Chinese language have been very popular with students from around the world. Although there are many Chinese language-related websites, ours is unique because we emphasize strong, original content, simple design, and ease of use via the innovative use of web technologies.

YellowBridge has been online since January 2003. We were the first website to bring much needed innovation to Chinese dictionaries and flashcards. Features like word and character decomposition, flashcards tailored to specific textbooks, search by fuzzy pinyin, and many other groundbreaking features appeared here first although they have since been copied by others.

This site is privately owned and is only possible by the placement of advertising and the sale of subscriptions. Therefore we kindly request that you whitelist our site if you are using an ad blocker. Alternatively, you can subscribe to our site. for a low membership fee. In return, members get to view our site free of third party ads in addition to premium members-only content.
