The Eight Mansions (also known as the East/West System) is a traditional system of the Compass School of feng shui. The system uses your sex and date of birth to identify one of the eight trigrams as your personal trigram. Each trigram, in turn, is associated with the eight compass directions and identifies four of them as being auspicious and the other four as inauspicious.
